Comments: The optical absorption spectra of the phenyl, and the hydroxyphenyl radicals in aqueous solutions have been obtained. 
The molar extinction coefficients are epsilon(C6H5) = 630 M-1 cm-1 at 260 nm and epsilon(HOC6H4) = 1950 M-1 cm-1 at 275 nm.
