Comments: Ion-pair formation from photoexcitation of SF6 has been studied by negative-ion mass spectrometry using 
synchrotron radiation in the 11.27-31.0 eV photon energy range.
The absorption cross section at 14.3 eV is sigma =  (7 ± 2) x 10-21 cm2.
