Env., 246, 118140, (2021); https://doi.org/10.1016/j.atmosenv.2020.118140 Data: diagram, table Energy/Wavelength range: 200 - 400 nm Resolution: 1 nm Temperature: 298 K Temperature dependence: no Pressure/Concentration: 1 x 10^-4 mol L-1 Phase: aqueous solution (in the presence of different concentrations of Na2SO4 and NaNO3) pH: Comments: The UV/Vis absorption spectra of VL exhibits a hyperchromic effect and a bathochromic shift of the n->Pi* absorption band, in going from lambda(max) = 310 nm in the dilute aqueous phase to lambda(max) = 346 nm at I = 0.3 M adjusted by Na2SO4. A hypsochromic shift of the n->Pi* absorption band of VL, in going from lambda(max) = 310 nm in the dilute liquid water to lambda(max) = 303 nm at Ieff = 0.124 M is observed when the ionic strength was adjusted with NaNO3.
