Comments: Photodecomposition of vinyl iodide has been studied at 313 and 254 nm using a high intensity light source.
The uv spectrum of vinyl iodide vapor between 200 and 350 nm is displayed. The vinyl radical yield in the 254 nm photolysis of
C2H3I is about 0.83.
