Clark, C.B. Moore, N.S. Nogar Title: The photochemistry of formaldehyde: Absolute quantum yields, radical reactions, and NO reactions Journal/Source: J. Chem. Phys., 68, 1264-1272, (1978); doi:10.1063/1.435848 Data: table Energy/Wavelength range: 290 - 360 nm Resolution: Temperature: Temperature dependence: Pressure/Concentration: Phase: gas pH: Comments: Absolute quantum yields have been measured for the gas phase photolysis of H2CO and D2CO as a function of excitation energy. For H2CO the total photochemical quantum yield was PHI(total) =1.0 ± 0.1 for lambda < 326 nm and 0.68 at lambda = 353 nm. For D2CO, PHI(total) = 1.0 ± 0.1 for lambda < 331 nm and drops to zero near the band origin. Author to whom correspondence should be addressed: (e-mail address):
