Weeks, G.M.A.C. Meaburn, S. Gordon Title: Absorption coefficients of liquid water and aqueous solutions in the far ultraviolet Journal/Source: Radiation Research, 19, 559-567, (1963) Data: diagram Energy/Wavelength range: 170 - 190 nm Resolution: Temperature: 297 K Temperature dependence: no Pressure/Concentration: Phase: liquid pH: Comments: The extinction coefficients of liquid water have been determined in the region 170 to 190 nm. In addition, extinction coefficients have been determined at 184.9 nm and/or 180 -190 nm for aqueous solutions of sulfuric acid, sodium sulfate, ethyl acetate, methyl alcohol, formic acid, sidium formate, perchloric acid, hydrogen peroxide, potassium carbonate, and potassium iodide, bromide, and chloride. The extinction coefficient of liquid water at 184.9 nm was determined to be 1.80 ± 0.01 cm-1. Author to whom correspondence should be addressed: (e-mail address):
