AutoChem has been linked to an ensemble of advanced neural networks to accelerate the solution of the stiff ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Thankfully encouraging progress has been made. For a test case where we had 46 coupled ODEs describing NASA code 916's stratospheric chemistry scheme we trained 46 neural networks, one network per ODE. Comparing the two solutions gave excellent results (straight scatter diagrams) and gave a 200 times speed up!
